Some recommended information sources about key national developments related to human services and health
NAPC has created an NAPC E-Newsletter for Members. Anyone on the staff or board of an NAPC member organization may subscribe. As a service to members, NAPC formerly forwarded e-bulletins from selected national sources to interested people within NAPC member organizations. This service was discontinued in June 2004, by decision of the Board of Directors, because members have recently told NAPC they are now flooded with emails and would prefer to hear from NAPC less frequently and in a different format.
For those who wish to continue to access the information they previously received by email through NAPC, here is a list of some of the main information sources NAPC was using. Everyone is welcome to contact those of interest to you, to follow their websites and arrange to receive their e-newsletters directly. Some of their e-newsletters are posted online, while some are available only by subscription (free). You can subscribe through their websites -- see the links below.
Members, please email to recommend other national information sources that would be of interest to others, to be added to this section of the NAPC website.

Is the door to opportunity slamming shut, or will people get the chance to find and keep a decent job and provide for their children, and to have health coverage, affordable housing, and a secure retirement? Because these choices are too important to be left to a handful of insiders, the Coalition on Human Needs has started the Opportunity for All Campaign. In order to succeed, we need tens of thousands of advocates to receive timely information and to speak out in favor of fair and commonsense budget decisions. If you would like to be a part of the Opportunity for All Campaign, send an email to Adam Hughes at ahughes@chn.org."
