Workplace Volunteer Program (WVC)
- The Workplace Volunteer Council, WVC, an initiative of the Voluntary Action Center of Mid-Fairfield, exists to assist area businesses and corporations in organizing their employees for service in the community. The Council is a coalition of local businesses, large and small, that are committed to enhancing the quality of life through employee involvement.

We can help establish or expand the volunteer options for your office or place of business and link up good corporate citizens with the appropriate needs of the communities in which they live and work.

Adult Volunteers in Action (AViA)
- is composed of adults who live and/or work in the Fairfield County area who like to do group volunteer projects as well as meet new people. AViA members volunteer to help the community, mainly evenings and weekends, for a variety of not-for-profit agencies, bringing energy, creativity and much enthusiasm to all their projects.

Management Assistance Program (MAP)
- connects the expertise of business and corporate personnel with not-for-profit agencies for short-term consulting projects or longer-term board commitments.

Student Volunteers in Action (SViA)
- refers individual students from middle school age through college to appropriate volunteer assignments. This program encourages students to serve their community, expand their horizons, increase self-confidence and explore career goals.

Family Volunteering Program (FVP)
- provides volunteer opportunities for parents who are interested in volunteering with their children under the age of twelve. This program provides parents with an opportunity to teach children, at an early age, about the value of helping others and becoming an active member of their community. Statistics show that one of the benefits of this early initiative is increased self-esteem.

Transitional Program
- helps those who have experienced emotional problems to return to a sense of self-worth and achievement through appropriate volunteer assignments.

Disabilities Aren't Barriers in Volunteerism (D.A.B.)
- recruits and refers volunteers with disabilities to appropriate volunteer tasks.
