AFFORDABLE HOUSING

The Housing Development Committee was formed to work on increasing affordable housing resources in the community.  It has developed many housing programs including:

Norwalk Emergency Shelter which provides temporary housing and referral services for homeless individuals and families It also operates a transitional housing program.

40 South Main Street Efficiency Apartments (pictured) which have 44 efficiency apartments affordable for low-income individuals.

St. John’s Street Residence which houses a transitional living program to prepare adults with mental illness to live independently in the community.

Arch Street Affordable Rental Housing (pictured) which provides affordable housing for families.
