WHO WE ARE...

The Mission of The Community Prevention Task Force is to provide prevention, training and educational programs through a collaborative effort with parents, businesses, service groups, community agencies, government, schools and religious organizations to fill community needs.  The role of the Task Force is to provide prevention services and to address service gaps.

OUR WORK...

Maintaining a strong bond with the Richard C. Briggs High School community, by providing programs such as Career Day, Annual Holiday Party, Achievement Ceremonies, Graduation Ceremony, and a “Service Learning and Enrichment Through Music” program

Planning and organizing successful “Family Day” celebrations at three housing communities: Roodner Court, Monterey Village and Washington Village

Forming the the first city-wide youth council in Norwalk’s history; the “Norwalk Youth Council” is comprised of a diverse group of middle and high school students
